Sylvester Stallone, através de sua conta @TheSlyStallone, falou sobre detalhes e possibilidades sobre o próximo Expendables. Em primeiro lugar, Jackie Chan estará presente no filme. Caso não esteja, ele está sendo a fonte principal para arranjar talentos orientais e leste-europeus. Em segundo lugar, tais talentos orientais devem servir para trazer uma versão própria de The Raid, o sucesso oriental do ano passado. A grande diferença é que, em Expendables 3, não veríamos apenas um agente chutando a bunda de todo mundo. Em terceiro lugar, Mickey Rourke voltará ao personagem Tool.
